| About Itsy Bitsy Yoga® Itsy Bitsy Yoga® is a class for children, and their parents or caregivers. Pre-crawlers will be in the babies class, and children up to 24 months will be in the tots class. No previous yoga experience is required, as this is not a yoga class for adults. Our focus is on the babies, helping them and their caregivers to realize a fun bonding experience.. Our class provides a relaxed atmosphere in which you and your child may participate as much or as little as you like. Parents are encouraged to listen to their child’s cues. If they are hungry, fussy, or not interested in our current pose, please feel free to tend to their needs. Children will usually absorb the positive energy in the class without needing to participate in every pose. Itsy Bitsy Yoga® helps you to introduce your baby (or toddler) to yoga in the first years of life. Healthy habits are formed early, so give your baby all the tools they need to grow into a healthy, happy child, teen and adult. Your class will be taught by a certified Itsy Bitsy Yoga facilitator. Helen Garabedian, an Infant Developmental Movement Educator and Registered Yoga Teacher, created this program which includes more than 75 yoga poses and techniques for babies from 3 weeks to 24 months old. Classes In keeping with the yoga practice of non-judgment, we ask that only one parent or caregiver attend each session with your child. It could be uncomfortable for others in the class to feel as if they are being observed, and distracting to your child to have more than one parent to give their attention and love.
