| FAQ about Ánima Fitness Q: What do I need to do before I start a training program? A: You will need to obtain permission from your doctor to train with us. You will also need to provide some information on your medical history, and exercise history. Q: Why do I need permission from my doctor before starting my workouts? A: It ensures that there is open dialogue between you and your doctor about any possible physical restrictions, and provides us with that information, so we can provide you with a safe, effective workout plan. Q: Why do I need to provide medical history information? A: It helps us design a better informed training plan. We can take into account family conditions such as hypertension, gestational diabetes, etc. Q: Do I need to sign a HIPPA form? I seem to sign one anytime I provide medical information. A: No. At this time, fitness professionals are not subject to HIPPA regulations. If this should change, we will provide you with the necessary forms. However, we will keep all personal and medical information you provide to us in the strictest confidence. Q: Do you only provide training for new and expecting moms? A: No, we can provide training to the general population, but we do focus specifically on new and expecting moms. Q: In which areas will you provide in-home training? A: We are based out of Woburn, MA, and will provide in-home training in the Metro Boston area. Please contact us to see if your area is included. |

| "Returning to activity after pregnancy has been associated with a decrease in postpartum depression, but only if it is stress-relieving and not stress-provoking. For those who choose to resume exercise in these early weeks, the goal of exercise should be to help with relaxation, stress management, and emotional well-being." - ACE Pre- and Post-Natal Fitness Guidelines, 2002 |
